We got there a little early, in fact early enough that we were able to park in a parking lot that ended up being closed to the public later in the day, but we were there before they put all the cones up, so that was a nice bonus.
The grounds are totally different than they were when I was there many, many years ago. More buildings, restaurants, it's like a whole football history village!
But at the core it was still the building that I remember, just much bigger.
And it was induction weekend, and Patrick Willis was going in, so there was an energy around the place, which was cool.
We ended the day with a trip to Sweeties Candy Company, the largest candy store in the world (at least according to their website) and if it's not, it's pretty darn close. It was HUGE! With any kind of candy you could think of, old, new, nostalgic, new, gummy, chocolate, etc.
