Busy day at Packard

Not that every day at work isn’t busy for one reason or another, but today was especially busy. The Terminator...I mean Detective John Kimble...I mean the Governor announced some new legislation regarding making it easy to signup for organ donation.  He was joined by Apple CEO Steve Jobs.  Since I was on the tour, I got to talk to each of them for a couple moments, so that was cool.

In other news, March Madness is in full swing and St. Mary’s won their first round game against Richmond.  St. Mary’s was seeded 10, Richmond 7.  Now they get Villanova tomorrow.  Although the seeding seems a bit lopsided, most people are at least giving the Gaels a chance.  I’ll be planted in front of the TV.  This was the first win in March Madness in 50 years for SMC.

In other athletic news, Katelyn’s state meet is this Sunday, so we’ll be traveling up to Oroville on Sunday for that.  And with a certain overall score, I think it is like a 34, she’ll qualify for the Western Regional meet in Long Beach in two weeks.  So, lots going on. And for all you parents out there with small kids.  Talking Carl is a great iPhone app.  Carl is Ellie’s new best friend.  In fact Ellie is already working on setting up her own iTunes account.
