Thanksgiving and our trip to Seattle

November was a rough month for the Kleinheinz family.  In addition to my 3-day stay in the hospital for pancriatites, grandma Audrey took a spill and broke her femur.  So she was in the hospital for a few days, for surgery, then in a rehab facility to get her strength back (always amusing to say “Grandma is in rehab”).  And now she’s out and staying with Aunt Karen.  But in good spirits, so that’s good

Thanksgiving was also good, we had a quick visit to Oakdale for Thursday and Friday, and got to spend time with Jason and Kristin watching the Iron Bowl (big win for Auburn that really launched them into the BCS Title game) and Bryan and Jenny.  Ellie had a great time running around with Nate and Sam.

Right after Thanksgiving we were off to Seattle for a visit with Jon and Christiane, the Martino Family and Steph’s cousin Denise.  We visited Pike’s Market, got coffee at the first Starbucks, went to the top of the Space Needle, did the Ducks Tour (Very fun!) and lot of visiting.

And once we got home we went into Christmas mode.  Got the tree up and decorated.  Got some shopping done. All that type of stuff.  Now we are just waiting for Christmas to get here and a trip up to Almanor to do some real relaxing!

On a side note, the transmission went out in the Outlook, so it has been in the shop for about a week now.  We had just gone to see Anthony in his play up in Oakland, and broke down in Pleasanton.  Good thing it wasn’t too far from home.  Steve was able to come pick us up and take us home.

I’m anticipating the next entry being in a few days since we are scheduled to find out the sex of the baby.  So I may be back soon!
