Christmas
seemed to sneak up on us quickly this year, but it sure was a lot of
fun. (Christmas Card photo above. Thanks to our friend Marisa for doing
all the photos!)
Ellie had an Elf On The Shelf, so
everyday the elf, which she named Jelf, would find his way to a new
location in the house. She loved getting up in the morning and seeing
that he was gone from one place and watching over her in another.
Christmas Eve was spent in Fremont at
the Grandparents house, and that was, and always is, a lot of fun.
Steve couldn’t make it as he was in St. Louis for the 49ers’ game the
next day, but everyone else had fun talking about baby names, eating
ham, and opening presents.
We spent Christmas morning at home.
Which was nice since Ellie was able to put out cookies and milk and wait
for Santa Claus. And her reaction the next morning was great. Even
though there were a number of new presents under the tree and a new bike
parked out there, she blew right by all of that looking for Jelf. It
wasn’t until she turned around that she noticed all the new stuff.
She went right to ripping open
presents, and she scored all the things she really wanted and asked
Santa for, including a Woody doll form Toy Story, roller skates, and the
movie Toys Story 3. Plus the bike, which she didn’t ask for, but sure
enjoyed.
We spent the rest of Christmas out in
Oakdale, presents from Grandma and Papa and then dinner with Kristin,
Jason and the family. Ellie and Hannah had a great time playing
together. Along with Freddy they had their own little dinner table
which Ellie thought was “so cool.”
A couple days to try and cleanup and then it was off to Almanor.
