Wine Tasting and Music

This past weekend was supposed to be the Todd and Steph getaway weekend. At least a month ago that's what Steph thought. As it turns out, the weekend came two weeks early in the form of our trip to Las Vegas. But because we had already made some plans we kept them.

Hanging in the grapes at Savannah-Chanelle
After Ellie's soccer game on Saturday morning we met Mike, Adriana and Shannon at our house. We then went and hit three wineries, Byington Winery in the Santa Cruz Mountains, Testarossa Winery in Los Gatos and Savannah-Chanelle in Saratoga. The tastings were great, we bought a few bottles, brought some salami, cheese, crackers and fruit and made a full day out of it.

Jason Aldean concert
And to cap off the day we all went to the Jason Aldean concert at Shoreline. It was no doubt a full day. In fact there were many statements that reminded us that were weren't as young as we thought were were. Like Steph's statement that she is no longer young enough to do the lawn at Shoreline, she needs to be in seats. Also, it could have been the wine, the long day, anything, but Steph, Adrianna and Shannon all fell asleep on our trip home from the concert.

Ellie working the puck

Sunday was not quite as busy, but still busy. Ellie participated in Girl Try Hockey day at San Jose Ice. She done this before and has had a great time each time she's gone. She gets in all the gear and gets out on the ice for an hour. They have a couple of the Jr. Sharks girls' teams out there helping, so it's it was fun to watch Ellie interact and learn from them.

All geared up.

And not to be outdone, Lukas enjoyed some time shooting hoops in the backyard.
