The first task of the remodel was to move the water heater from the laundry room down to the basement.
They turned the water off at 8:00 am and went to work. They moved the water heater, capped all the old pipes, repiped what was needed in the basement, then got everything turned back on. Good thing, because I wasn't looking forward to a cold shower.
Besides the shower, it was an all night race to get the laundry room cleared out and get EVERYTHING washed and dried, because when the morning arrived we were going to be without the ability to wash or dry clothes for about 3 months.
