About 10 years ago, when Katelyn was 12 and Ellie was only a few months old, we thought it would be fun to go cut down our own Christmas tree. We went out to Half Moon Bay, it had rained recently, so it was muddy. The "good" trees were up the hill, so we had to hike. Steph had Ellie in the carrier which meant hauling the tree back down the hill was up to me. In a word, it was a mess. But, we did it. Checked it off the list of things to do, and have never thought about doing it again.
Until.
Scott and Lina were going to go into the Santa Cruz Mountains and try the cutting thing. Well, a decade had passed, so maybe things would be different.
Thankfully they were!
We found a tree. Ellie did the cutting. And we had plenty of extra hands to help haul it away. WAY BETTER THEN BEFORE.
