Spring Break RV Trip

We needed to start putting the RV to better use, so we scheduled some time at the Grand Canyon and Yosemite for Spring break. Everything was awesome (minus a knee injury that ended up needing surgery.).

We loaded up the RV and hit I-5 south. Made it to Bakersfield and spent the night before continuing the next day into Arizona and the Grand Canyon.

Spent a couple great days at the Grand Canyon. The kids had fun, and without cell services couldn't be on their phones and had to actually play with each other.

Then it was back to Bakersfield before finishing in Yosemite. And here is where the usual vacation speed bump hit. While getting the RV ready to leave Bakersfield I stepped backwards and twisted my knee, and twisted it good! So good that I ripped up the cartilage in my right knee, had to spend a few hours in the ER getting checked and picking up some pain medication. There wasn't much to do considering the swelling and the only thing they could do was wait for it to go down, then do an MRI. So while we considered heading home, there wasn't much that could be done back home so we continued to Yosemite.

Minus the fact that I couldn't hike, it was a great, great trip. Fun adventure and beautiful scenery.
