Almanor and Back. The Definition of Crazy Softball Parents.

The annual trip to Lake Almanor was very relaxing (for the most part). We were joined by the Brady Family, with Jessie Werthman, and the Denny Family, with Maria.

As usual, the kids had a blast tubing and swimming in the lake. Trips down to the Rec area for S'mores and other fun. Plenty of good BBQ, enough chips to feed an army, some fantastic Old Fashions, and lot and lots of laughs (Thank you Tequilla Lina).

But this year there was a crazy 24-hour trip home. The Cal Nuggets had tryouts on Sunday, a week into our 10 day vacation. So Matt and I packed up Keira and Ellie and left Almanor about 6:30 on Friday Night. Grabbed a soda in Williams, and got home about midnight. Then, it was up early and off to Nuggets tryouts at 9:00 a.m. up in Woodside, and as soon as they walked off the field, it was back in the car and up to Almanor. Tryouts were over around 1:00, and we were back in the water at 6:00 p.m.

So yes, you'll see our faces in the dictionary next to Crazy Softball Parents.
