SAN JOSE, CA, March 27, 2015 – School Health Clinics of Santa Clara County
today announced that its Board of Directors named Stephanie Kleinheinz the
organization’s next Chief Executive Officer, effective May 1. She replaces Sue
Lapp, who earlier this year announced her retirement.
Kleinheinz, 37, has been part of
the School Health Clinics team for 8 years, the past seven as the Director of
Clinical Services. During that time she was responsible for the daily operation
of all five of the organization’s clinics. She led the implementation and
upgrade of the electronic health records and practice management system, as
well as attained designation in several federal programs such as Patient
Centered Medical Home (PCMH) transformation and achieved Level II PCMH
recognition by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA).

to providers, work tirelessly to live the mission of School Health Clinics – to
provide high quality, affordable primary medical care for the low income
children and families of Santa Clara County.”

wants to lead the organization, will help School Health Clinics remain a leader
in the community health care arena,” said Sue Lapp.
Kleinheinz earned her B.S. in Biomedical Science at Texas
A&M University in College Station, TX, and earned her Master’s degree in
Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Samuel Merritt College in Oakland,
CA. She started her nursing career at Kaiser Permanente and worked in Critical
Care for 9 years. She joined School Health Clinics as a Nurse Practitioner in
2008, for both the Washington and Gilroy Neighborhood Clinics. She was promoted
to Director of Clinical Services in 2009.

Clara County children from infancy to age 19. Our Washington Neighborhood
Health Clinic began serving adults in August 2014.
At each of the five neighborhood health clinics that
comprise School Health Clinics of Santa Clara County, our bilingual staff
provides the following services: urgent care of illnesses and injuries,
physical exams and sports physicals, monitoring and treatment of chronic
diseases such as diabetes and asthma, immunizations, lab tests, assistance with
enrollment in low cost health insurance, reproductive health, mental health
services, prescriptions, dental services, nutrition counseling, health
education and health navigation assistance.
